This is a story of consequences that unknowingly occurred when the Gods created our universe and how a vile evil from a Dark Realm infiltrated and manifested into our very own universe. The evil that now exists has an overwhelming desire to devour and destroy everything that is held sacred and good. The Gods sensed this evil, and a battle unfolded to entrap the dark god Nimponin. Once trapped, the children of the same Gods who created the heavens struggle over one planet's survival in the vast universe. Corruption, betrayal, and deceit try to bring forth chaos and mayhem to obliterate the good in the world.

One man, William James, a direct descendant of a once-powerful matriarch of the Tatokai Islands, is able to call forth the four elements of Earth, Wind, Water, and Fire and control them with the mana of Spirit.  A power that has not been seen for over a thousand years. The goddess Laki chooses him as her Champion and appoints him as the Sendoka of her and her sisters' religion.

At his side is Samuel Miro, a swordsman ranked higher than any Master. He accepts the Goddess Jutsuk's request to become her Champion and is anointed as the Shikakin to protect and defend William against any threats. The two of them seek out the Gifted, four individuals who, like William, can call forth the elements. Once found and with others, they will fight to stop the ongoing spread of evil, trying to corrupt the world.

Nova, a beautiful, cold-hearted, merciless woman, is chosen as the dark Gods Guichi and Tanin to become their Kaisoshosuko to destroy the religion of the Goddesses and to find other dark crystals to release Nimponin once again. They task her to raise an Army of the Dark, and once she has this army, she is to terrorize the lands and destroy any good they find in the world. Her army is made up of cutthroats, murderers, thieves, and the scum of the earth, who all pay fealty to her. Nova herself has been trained by the sisters Mae and Mia, who came from the Dark Realm and have the power to bring forth Sutaraukaji and Chizobutsu creatures and beasts from their Realm. While her army grows, Nova searches for her “Chosen,” four special women who can be taught to harness the Dark Arts and to do her bidding.

 The confrontation between Good and Evil slowly unfolds as the reborn Goddesses become Tendaishi, knowing that one cannot exist without the other. Still, the annihilation of one over the other is too great, as treachery, murder, betrayal, and lust are a few of the many things that could plunge the planet of Chikyu into total darkness and possibly destroy all of humanity.
